Here’s what too little sleep will do to your brain and body

People who sleep late at night and get up early the next day will undoubtedly feel tired and fatigued throughout the day – a problem usually solved after a few cups of coffee. Millions of people worldwide have trouble sleeping – or just don’t make the time for it – and it generates physiological and mental problems which could be prevented by simply regulating their sleep cycle.

A good night’s sleep is essential to recharge the body and keep the mind sharp. Without the 7 or 8 hours of sleep we need every night, our bodies could suffer from several side effects. In fact, a study published last year showed that a single week of sleeping less than six hours a night, resulted in changes in more than 700 genes. That’s right, sleep deprivation can actually change your genes.
